The Portuguese Parliament approved the creation of a visa solely to seek work in Portugal.
According to the bill that will amend the current Foreigners’ Act, this Visa entitles its holder to enter and stay in Portuguese territory for the purpose of looking for work for 120 days, extendable for another 60 days.
If the immigrant does not get a job within this period, he will have to return to his country and may return with a new visa to look for work after 1 year.
But beware: this diploma is still awaiting publication in the Diário da República! And only 30 days after its publication will it come into force.
